King Rice Bran Oil with high Oryzanol of 4000 ppm. is the innovation in the production process. Oryzanol is a natural antioxidant found only in rice bran oil, not in other cooking oils. It is effective in lowering bad cholesterol (LDL-C) without lowering good cholesterol (HDL-C) in blood.

Shortening is commonly used in bakery products such as cake and cookie, to lower cholesterol and to improve physical properties of bakery products by partially replacing butter with shortening. Nowadays, Partially Hydrogenation and Chemical Inter-esterification are widely used in shortening production. Trans-fatty acid is then formed as a result of the chemical process.
Over two years of effort in researching, Thai Edible Oil Co., Ltd. then introduced Rice Bran Oil Shortening under the brand “King” to the bakery industry.

Most creamer that are available in the market are made with partially hydrogenated vegetable fats or oils, resulting in creamers with trans-fatty acid and could contains 1-1.5 grams of saturated fatty acid per serving which could cause adverse health effect.
